Kindness

For sure all of you have experienced acts of kindness even from strangers.
Herewith are some quotations on kindness :

"Some day, after we have mastered
the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity
we shall harness the energies of love.
Then for the second time in history of the world,
man will have discovered fire."
-TEILHARD de CHARDIN

"I am done with great things and big plans,
great institutions and big success. I am for those tiney and invisible loving
forces that work from individual to individual, creeping through the crannies
of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing of water,
which, if given time, will rend the hardest monuments of pride."
-WILLIAM JAMES

"People say that we're all seeking is a meaning
for life......I think that what we're really seeking
is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences
on the purely physical plane will have resonance within
our innermost being and reality, so that we can actually
feel the rapture of being alive."
-JOSEPHCAMPBELL

A child sharing her food made me think that yes, we adults can learn from children. That inspired me to think of kindness for in this world of dog eat dog and crab mentality and jealousy among adults, I tend to forget that I need to be kind. If a child can be too kind to share her food, why not we adults share what we have?
